Why Teach Me Tribe?
I'm Elisa, the founder and lead teacher behind the Teach Me Tribe. I'm a Primary Education Specialist and Personal Educator. I have 15 years experience in education as a UK qualified primary teacher, senior leader and literacy subject coordinator and consultant.
Learning with us is different. Our teaching is rooted in pedagogical cognitive research, with creative and brain-friendly teaching strategies at our core. Relationships are at the heart of what we do and each lesson is crafted to nurture, engage and challenge. We are inclusive and have extensive experience of supporting children with special educational needs and supporting emotional wellbeing.
Whether your child is home educated or school attending, you are in the right place - all are welcome here! We offer online and face to face tuition for children aged 4- 12 years old.
Through our unique approach, your child will make progress towards their personal goals and enjoy their learning with Teach Me Tribe.
Your child can learn with us through one to one sessions or by joining one of our group learning sessions. We also have a number of clients who attend as a pair or a friendship group. We also work in partnership with local schools and the Local Authority to deliver bespoke tuition to students - offering support to learners educated other than at school (EOTAS).
We offer after-school tuition and weekly SATs preparation groups.
Our daytime tuition sessions take place at our Learning Hub for home educating families, friendship groups and communities. We are proud to offer learning that delivers the academic skills required by the National Curriculum, but in a way that entices children into a love of learning in a playful, engaging and hands-on way! Learning is tailored to follow your child's interests, passions and learning aspirations and aims to address any learning gaps, provide academic skills and enrich the existing home education provision that you have in place. Furthermore, our personal learning tracker is shared with you weekly so that you know exactly where your child's learning progress lies and know their next steps - you are able to use this for any LA communication.
What do we offer?
We offer expert tuition sessions in Reading, Writing and Maths either face-to-face from our Learning Hub in Heald Green, Stockport (UK) or as a home visit (if based within a short radius of Heald Green). You can enquire for further information about this. We deliver the knowledge and skills of the National Curriculum but in a way that is suited to your child's interests, passions and learning aspirations.
We also offer online tuition for learners who prefer this option or those who live beyond Greater Manchester - we have a large network of international clients who wish to learn through the British National Curriculum objectives.

Writing
With a degree in English Language and Literature, a vast experience of leading Literacy across a variety of UK primary schools and experience of training teachers to deliver innovative and effective writing lessons, writing tuition at the Teach Me Tribe is unique and rooted in expertise.

Reading
Maths
Reading is much more than being able to decode and blend words to read aloud- it requires the development of crucial 'reading for meaning' skills. We teach the skills of retrieving information, inference, prediction, explanation and extending learner vocabulary to ensure reading success. With our engaging, fun and multisensory sessions- your child will enjoy becoming a confident reader whilst developing these life-long academic skills.
At Teach Me Tribe, we use a variety of engaging methods to foster a deep understanding and love of number and mathematical concepts. Unlike other tuition companies, we do not rely on rote learning, we use visual and physical tools to boost retention and long-term achievement. We are trained in the mastery approach through the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics and all of our sessions are aligned with the UK National Curriculum - and they are of course, sprinkled with the Teach Me Tribe magic to be meaningful and enjoyable!
Early Reading and Writing
Year 6 SATs and 11+ Preparation
We understand that preparing for exams can be tricky for both parent and learner - that's why we are here to take away the pressure! We are experts in supporting children aged 9-11 tackle the Year 6 SATs and 11 plus with confidence through our fun and engaging approach. We are experts in this field, with experience of teaching Year 6 in the classroom and as a tutoring service - we will help your child make progress!

Perfect for children aged 4-6, our early reading and writing tuition is rooted in the foundations of phonics to support young learners to build strong reading and writing skills. Through playful and engaging sessions, we guide children to confidently sound out letters, blend words and express themselves in writing. We develop young imagination through dedicated story time, to immerse children into the sheer magic of losing yourself in a book!
